Is the tape failing to mount because it thinks the media is not free? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tristan Leask Sent: 24 July 2006 16:11 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [NF] SBS2003 Backup
Hi All, Currently having some fun trying to get the backups working on a SBS2003 server. At the moment, I think the issue is 2 fold... 1) The drive is starting to fail because occasionally the tape cannot be mounted and thus the backup aborts. 2) NTBackup could be having fits. It complains about Volume Shadow Copy. When we installed the tape drive, we just started using NTBackup. We didn't bother with Tapeware which came free with the device. Does anybody use Tapeware?
