The propaganda wouldn't stop because it's controlled by a handful of
people at the top who are dedicated to the neocon cause. So long as they
have the power, they will NEVER stop.

Consider: the protagonists, Big Oil, the MI complex, the
soldiers-of-Israel in and around our gov't, and their supporters in Big
Media (aka neocons) have grown richer and more powerful from the war
they started. Notice that the worse it gets for us, the taxpayers, the
soldiers, the loyal Americans, the more wealth and power that flows to
them. That's irony and tragedy beyond anything Shakespeare came up with.

We don't feel the debt yet, and we wouldn't for a few more years - but
we will when we look for a solution to the baby-boomer problem - only to
discover we can't go into debt to deal with it because we used up our
credit, and then we'll be out of options. We can expect giant excuses
though.

More than any other player, the "news" is the worst of the lot. Next
time anyone turns on the TV, try counting the number of war-related
stories and movies. Now compare that with the handling of the majority
sentiment that invading the ME was a mistake. Can you see the two ends
of the spectrum - and which end we're being programmed for?

The most outrageous current example of twisted logic being served up is
the rap that the war has gone badly because we executed it badly, which
totally flaunts the truth: that it's an ill-fated plot concocted by
neocon zealots in the first place.

Some people are being fooled today by the talk about a "gradual
withdrawal". It's another sham, a bone with no meat, that some see as
valid opposition to the war. Don't believe it. It's another Big Lie.
What's really happened is they started a war with no intention
whatsoever of backing out.

Today our enemy is emboldened, multiplied, savvy, and has money and
technology. They aren't the few dead-ender, stupid 'towelheads' the
propaganda machine wants us to believe. In actuality they are a
formidable adversary, with many millions of supporters, connected with
each other - across geography - and at the most basic psychological
level, and they have the home court advantage. That we don't see this
blunt reality yet is testimony of the power of the "news".

As we speak, our rulers are gearing up to escalate the war. An attack on
Iran while Bush is still in office seems the most likely path, but
regardless of how they actually pull it off, faced with a choice of
defeat (which is what withdrawal really amounts to) and escalation,
they'll go with escalation. They will NEVER give up. And, besides, more
war just makes them richer and more powerful. They can't lose. It's
we-the-people who lose.

Here's a call to brave Americans: stand up and acknowledge that our
rulers have sold us out for their own enrichment and fanatical devotion
to Israel. Our Constitution tells us that when our government is no
longer good for us that we are obliged to replace it. Both major parties
are sold out to these interests, so cast your vote for people who
denounce them - or protest by not voting at all. Get out on the streets
every chance you get. Talk with people. Don't stand for any more "lesser
of the evils" elections. Participate here. People who have kept silent
haven't helped at all.

We've overdue for a giant national embarrassment over what we've allowed
to happen to this country - and we'll be darn lucky if that's all we get
for what they've done. No matter, at this point our only real option is
to rid our gov't of these interests and then deal with the consequences.

What we really need, psychologically, is a rallying cry, but we must
accept that we're not going to get one - because even if there was one,
the "news" would see to it that we don't know about it - or put in it's
place with slick counter arguments. The only such cries we're actually
going to hear will have to do with attacks against us, i.e. the opposite
of what we need.

These aren't rallying cries, but things to think about: real freedom;
real peace; real love; real charity, and real building. Hold these
ideals up to the rulers who dealt us this war and they will shrivel.
Don't do these things and they will continue to grow stronger and more
powerful.
