At least, I would be after consultant rates.

I gave an employer one months notice and said I was not going to book myself out for the last week so they could arrange for the hand over of the projects. They on the other hand came up with the calculation of 5x£1K - less one week salary for miserable git who is leaving = lots of profit.

The handover was done on the next Saturday ( three hours to hand over 4 £250K+ projects ! ) and it cost them £700. They still made a fair bit but I made a lot (for me then).

The general moral (as I see it) is that if they are desperate enough (or greedy enough) they have to pay and you get a small bonus and a lot of smug points!
