Gateway tried this and failed. I wonder how is this going to be any

The Gateway stores were bad because you could go in and look at all
their new stuff and walk out with ... a receipt but no actual product.
That would be delivered later. Not a recipe for success in my book. My
parents were looking for a new computer and they had one of these stores
so in we went. They were already to purchase when the salesperson asked
where to ship the computer. I told her that shipping wouldn't be
necessary as we'd just take it with us. That was when we were informed
that they had zero stock and all products were shipped. No thanks, we
went elsewhere.
