Hmmm...  The other side of the story, eh?  Hey, I think you may be onto
something re: one years of salary for 8 hours of work.  Under the
circumstances I think I would demand exactly that of the bastard.  If he
asks why so high, tell him exactly what you just wrote to our group.  Let
him squirm.  Either way he is dead meat.  Worst case, you get nothing more,
and he is in hot water because he can't figure out how to use your
software - which they need to do.  Best case, you get paid, and he is in hot
water for getting his company into yet another budget breaking expense.  I
say "go for the throat", and let the chips fall where they will.
