I think a "shakedown" is too harsh a term, but I do believe, after a great many hours reviewing the terms of many of the EULAs, that there is little chance of anyone being 100% in compliance. I see two practical choices: pay whatever the vendor (or their henchmen at the BSA) demand in "fees" "licenses" or "penalties" based on your ability to negotiate or choose not to use the vendor's software. The choice seems pretty easy to me. I noted Bill's posting had a Google Ad in the margin for www.bsadefense.com. I think they have some very practical advice there. -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
