I think a "shakedown" is too harsh a term, but I do believe, after a
great many hours reviewing the terms of many of the EULAs, that there
is little chance of anyone being 100% in compliance. I see two
practical choices: pay whatever the vendor (or their henchmen at the
BSA) demand in "fees" "licenses" or "penalties" based on your ability
to negotiate or choose not to use the vendor's software. The choice
seems pretty easy to me.

I noted Bill's posting had a Google Ad in the margin for
www.bsadefense.com. I think they have some very practical advice
there.
