Hmm.  Now that you menion it Microprose was in the mix there too.    Been a
while since those days...

Still like flying though.  And looking forward to FS 10. :)

If I recall correctly, Flight Simulator originally came from a company
called SubLogic.   MS bought the rights to it and carried it forward.    

Years later SubLogic tried to make a comeback with another Flight sim,
Airline Transport Pilot.  MS took them to court and held up the release
because SubLogic referred to themselves as "The Flight Simulator People".
Sublogic fought them as long as they could, then finally gave in and changed
the name and released the program.  

Sublogic went belly-up shortly thereafter.  :(
