The concern is that if Bush is made the scapegoat, the key players will walk, and that means justice wouldn't be served - and the real problem not solved. Bush's head alone on a platter isn't going to convince our enemies that we've come to terms with our enemy within. They aren't stupid either. Moreover, what they've done isn't just that invasion, as large as it is, it's also major advances of the authoritarian state here at home and a selfish, contemptuous disregard for blights that are rocking the world and feeding our next generation of enemies. In the largest sense, our government has a major attitude problem that getting rid of Bush alone isn't going to fix. The whole idea that we need a military larger then the whole rest of the world combined is delusional paranoia that feeds, not fixes, problems - as current events should more than make clear. If we didn't have the giant military to unleash, we would have had to work harder in the political arena. Sooner or later we're going to have to come to terms with a world at peace (wmd's will assure that), so why not now?
