You are a whack job at times.

Everything was failing. Since then some things have turned for the
better. Auto sales that plummeted are rebounding. It could be for
replacement after accident, or replacing wear and tear on an auto.

The idea was to promote a "new" industry and if it took, great. If
not we tried. Back then banks were not putting up money. I didn't
think it was going to fly because the niche audience was tiny. The
self sufficient get off the grid person from Idaho to Texas is a tiny
market. The well to do Star or CEO from central CA could equal in
numbers the units sold.

But after those sales who else wanted it? Would industry look to
capital expenditure to replace current infrastructure? In great times
maybe but those times are still years ahead in the future. :(

America took off and scared the crud out of England 100+ years ago.
We had raw materials and we knew how to come up with ideas on how to
exploit them outside of our borders. Suddenly money was coming in
from Europe that only use to hit the UK. Today we are afraid of China
for doing the same thing.

The difference between us and them is that we innovate and they seem
to only copy. We need to come up with the new ideas for products.
