Has anyone published guidelines on table and column naming conventions/abbreviations?
I'm talking about conventions for primary and foriegn keys, surrogate keys, natural keys, and common column names such as name components (first, last, middle, title, etc) address components (street, city, state, postal, etc) and guidelines for how phone numbers, email addresses, and terms like quanity, count, date get combined into column names (prefix, suffix, abbreviated, etc).
