Hi Jerry, All trains are "electric" think diesel-electric. And the plane is turbine electric. There are batteries, but they are kept charged by a turbine engine that burns on board fuel. The "electric" trains are also powered by a generator, although it is located on the grid somewhere rather than on board. >> What's next, more than 640K of ram? >> >> > http://www.txchnologist.com/2011/move-over-electric-car-the-electric-airplan > e-is-coming >> -- > ------------------ > > Why do trains work so well and as cheaply? -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
