I have a first-gen 16GB iPad, and I quite like it for things like FB updates and browsing IMDB etc while watching TV. Also I have loads of scanned old computer mags on it for bedtime reading. However mobile Safari is terrible, the mail client is barely OK (when it actually decides to retrieve SMTP mail instead of refusing and leaving you with no indication as to why) and the Windows version of iTunes should be taken into a field and quietly shot. I had to add 250 PDF files into the 'Books' section in iTunes the other day. Can I create collections or subfolders to put these in via iTunes? I cannot. Can I add more than about 25 at a time? No, because iTunes will just do nothing. No message, no crash, just does nothing. It's shite. It's also jailbroken with Cydia on it, so you're free from the walled garden to at least some extent. -- Alan Bourke alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
