I'm not sure why this wasn't mentioned below as a "great new feature" of 
Windows 8.

I think I predicted MS would do something like this a while back.... "in 
the name of security..."

It really is waaaay past time to get people off Windows.

(I'm sure the usual MS-heads will decry how this is all necessary because 
of security concerns, or maybe they'll say the enterprise versions will 
have a 'switch' to turn this off so corps won't get surprised by some 
uninstall, or that this is just prelim stuff, or that Apple and Google have 
malicious app kill switches for phones - so why can't MS do it, etc. Don't 
waste electrons. If you really don't think this is a concern you're too far 
up MS's ... behind ... to know what fresh air smells like.)
