It depends on how old your laptop is.  If it is a couple of years old or
less it probably doesn't make any difference.  Any older and I would suggest
that you unplug it every week or so and let it run on the battery for a
while.

Ted is the real expert on batteries but he would probably consider a laptop
battery beneath his dignity after submarine batteries :-)
