Up until 2005, i was writing code and maintaining the computer assets for a Government client. I wrote the program in VFP 7.0 which downloaded a .csv file from the PDA. PTS were really helpful in helping me choose a system to use.
http://www.ptshome.com/ I used the Tracerplus software to write an input program for the PDA which was using the Palm OS and had a built-in Barcode scanner. ----- Original Message ----- From: Christof Wollenhaupt <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Cc: Sent: Sunday, February 19, 2012 4:33 AM Subject: Re: Scanners and how to use them > > Any recommendations on > decent store-and-upload scanners? I'm currently writing applications for the DataLogic Memor and Skorpio scanners. They are based on Windows Mobile and have built-in Wifi. The scanner application is a FoxPro app executed with the Guineu runtime (obviously <g>). It talks with an ASP.NET MVC 3 app via http to transmit data. The ASP.NET app uses a COM server for all data related staff. The COM server is written in VFP 9. The scanner app downloads inventory and order information from the server to validate input. Each project is collected and uploaded once all items have been scanned.
