We use a mix of Printronix and Datamax in our powder coating and
galvanising plants, these are very dusty and damp acidic environments
and these printers seem to cope well. 

I agree with the comment about replacement heads. With normal printers
we purchase job lots off of ebay - cheap and cheerful :)
