Yes you are correct that the encryption fll needs the 71 runtimes. I have 
those in the exe directory on this machine. Are you saying you have a 
problem of runtimes and the FLL not working as well. I am sure the runtimes 
are SP2 and even the exe says so as I have version in the help. And the exe 
had to be built in SP1 to work. But are you saying maybe the 71 c++ runtimes 
can be mismatched?

That's not part of VFP, it's Craig Boyd's encryption DLL. I have
software using it on many Windows 7 machines.

Yes it has some dependencies on VC++ DLLs - you need MSVCP71.DLL and
MSVCR71.DLL, if I remember.

I wouldn't run an EXE built with one version of VFP with runtimes from
another, either.
