I have tried a few times and failed at making a web service. The VFP stuff is unfriendly. I would like to know more too as I'm about to embark on a web service prog. Allen

Right now we have a web site that is hosted on a linux server. We have a windows server that we could install a M$ web server on . I guess I would like to use VFP and XML. My main objective is for the web service to be able to access the data in my VFP database without my having to save the data in a different database. Basically the web service would allow remote users to query the database for info about a certain product in the database. I would also like to capture the product # in the request. I don't know how that fits in with providing a web service. I hope this makes sense. I do not know much about web services at all. I am trying to read up on them. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to start. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
