Hey Richard,
Thank you SO MUCH for thinking about me & my problem. To be honest - the
problem has still not been resolved. It was suggested I bring it to Best
Buy and let one of the Geeks look at it - but, I have yet to do that. It
was also suggested to put it into the Freezer. But, then, people warned I
have to worry about moisture occurring. However, I would have no control
over moisture occurring - and AFAIK - nothing I can do IF IT actually
occurs. So - I haven't even tried that trick yet.
Lastly - for this SW tool - problem is - if the BIOS won't even see the
Drive - how can this tool possibly see it??? Not that I want to completely
dump on your suggestion - I will still try it - as I already did download
the program.

Put drive in ziplock bag with a tiny bit of rice in it.
Well - this SUCKS! I put Rice in the bag, froze it over Several hours -
and just tried it. It was actually worse - since, now - there was a
louder CLICKing noise that was occurring - and, still - the BIOS would
NOT see the drive!!!
Will that drive bee seen in another computer? If not you need a return
policy.
Even attached to OTHER Computers - it could NOT be seen. Although - not
sure what you mean about a Return policy - as the HD is probably like 5
years old by now...
