The Mazda is based on the floodplan of the Escort not the other way round

Hi Adam,

Is it really! Mine has a small rusthole in the spare tire well and would eventually sink in a flood. I have been meaning to mix up a cup of bondo and fix it, but you know about the too-full plate.

Years ago people used to fit propellers to the fan pulley of a VW and go paddling around in lakes and such. That and smear a lot of grease on the door seals.

The Ford Escort has a lot of history, and I would expect the 1999 model
to be simple, which would make it easy to maintain/repair. I did a
Kelley Blue Book on it using 150,000 miles, and poor condition, and it
appears you made a really good deal. I'm glad you have some wheels to
get around. LOL

Actually, it is a Mazda 3, re-badged as a Ford.
