A quick Google finds MSKB articles going back to WinNT 3.5 so, yeah, it's
always been that way. otoh, I did see some hylafax messages on modifying
the regexs to recognize malformed Windows PS output as PS. That might be
more in keeping with Postel's Law, "Be liberal in what you accept, and
conservative in what you send."
