I was horrified on a visit last month to Niagara Falls to find probably close to 100% of the products were made in China. I didn't buy much. Not that I have anything against China but I would expect at least to be able to buy local made purchases. The only non Chinese stuff seemed to be made by “natives” (who came from China in the first place lol).
Sorry state of affairs and explains why jobs are not about. Not that it has a bearing on programming jobs, that seems to fall on India.
