Ted,
I truly appreciate your help. I'm not trying to be difficult. I don't know
very much about this sort of technology at all and I'm struggling to
understand. Websites mostly seem to expect me to know stuff that I don't
know yet.
It appears that I would have to jailbreak an Apple TV to get XBMC installed
on it. This looks somewhat dicey in terms of success or failure. I would
rather not deal with that if I have a choice.
It is not clear to me how XBMC works with a website. The XBMC website says
you can view streamed internet content if you create a text file containing
the url of the streaming content--an actual specific video or audio file.
It doesn't say anything about using a web browser to choose something to
watch. How would I get the actual streaming URL for Hulu? And how would I
then control what I'm watching?
XBMC is not a web browser. Apple TV is not a web browser, though I guess if
you jailbreak it you could install one on it. You've said you can watch
free Hulu using XBMC. But exactly how do you do it? If not with a browser,
how do you easily pick and choose which thing to watch?
Thanks.
