Buffalo certainly work, we have one here. The only glitch we have found is using Windows XP 64 (if you have any) which is just unstable. Windows 7 x86 and x64 both work fine and so far so does Windows 8. Mahe sure you have a Gb or 100Gb network though as 100Mb isn't really fast enough.
