I can probably help you with setting up a blog as I started doing it in 2007 with Keep America At Work.

I'm in the process of creating MomAndPopAds.com using asmallorange.com as a host First time I've used them and they give you a lot more control over setting everything up which is good and bad.

Previously I used godaddy.com and they do all the handholding for you which is kind of nice.

Be more than glad to answer any questions if you choose to use WordPress, and I would recommend that you do.

Subject: [OT] LinkedIn and Blogging

Dear Vixens and Reynards:

Some time ago, my job hours got cut and I have been looking for
additional work with, so far, not much success. One of the things
that I have done is to get set up on LinkedIn though I am still
dipping my toes.

It has also occurred to me that I should write down some of my
accumulated wisdom. Read that as starting a blog.

Do any of you know of some *good* guides to LinkedIn and
getting started with blogging? And I might well ask about jobs (in
British Columbia or over the Net), too, just in case.

It is not all bad. I was a technical reviewer for Robin
Dewson's "Beginning SQL Server 2012 for Developers" and have my
picture on page xviii. (More technical review work would be
great. Know any editors needing help?)

Sincerely,

Gene Wirchenko
