that is because you talk about the blog market as one.
It is not one.
he might have a idea for a blog where there is no competition at all
As for readers expecting a ton of info forever, when you set out to build a
blog, you are telling the people that you are an expert in the area that
your blog covers.
I read somewhere that it takes 10,000 hours to become a expert on a subject.
I have spent 20,000 so far on understanding this game of musical countries
and how it impacts the global economy and the jobmarket.
While I am more versed in the subject than most, I do not yet consider
myself to be the expert.
But I am far more knowledgeable than somebody who has done less than 10,000
hour studying the subject.

Gene, I think the blog market is very crowded and being found as a new
writer will require a massive amount of content from your fingers to make
your splash. Funny thing is that readers expect a ton of info forever.

Dear Vixens and Reynards:
Some time ago, my job hours got cut and I have been looking for
additional work with, so far, not much success. One of the things that I
have done is to get set up on LinkedIn though I am still dipping my toes.
It has also occurred to me that I should write down some of my
accumulated wisdom. Read that as starting a blog.
Do any of you know of some *good* guides to LinkedIn and getting
started with blogging? And I might well ask about jobs (in British
Columbia or over the Net), too, just in case.
It is not all bad. I was a technical reviewer for Robin Dewson's
"Beginning SQL Server 2012 for Developers" and have my picture on page
xviii. (More technical review work would be great. Know any editors
needing help?)
Sincerely,
Gene Wirchenko
