Just take a look at these articles that I wrote years ago on the use
of grids to make invoices and the use of cursor adapters to save data.
Also there are a couple that show how to use them as picklists.
As far as I am concerned, they are fantastic objects.
All you have to do is consider them as containers to textboxes (or
other objects, such as command buttons, checkboxes, etc). Actually
they are containers!, and simply program (in most cases) the contained

You can even use them to select data, as for instance, you show a list
of customers in a grid, select one by either pressing enter (just
program the keypress event in the textbox) or double click (program
the double click event), the grid closes and you can bring the whole
record into a calling form to show it. Or simply navigate the grid
(put code in the afterrowcolchange event of the grid) and show data in
the form or in another grid by just using a sql statement.
The possibilities are endless.
Don't shy away from grids. They are good.

Create a Form. Right click in the Form and open the Data
