I follow many magazines because of the things I do with Keep America At Work.
Advertising, which is the bulk of magazine content is way down which is why the magazines are substantially thinner. It all ties back to this game of musical countries that is being played out by people like this guy, among many. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-57590849/u.s-exec-chip-starnes-held-host age-by-factory-employees-in-china-for-5th-day/ Why we do not put them behind bars for treason for destroying the sovereign state of our nation is beyond me. First they destroy American jobs, which is where the demand for these trade shows comes from by sending our work to china. Then they lather and repeat by sending the Chinese jobs to india. All in a quest for zero wages and maximum profits. -----Original Message----- From: ProFox [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of MB Software Solutions, LLC Sent: Wednesday, June 26, 2013 9:41 AM To: ProFox Email List Subject: Re: Help save Southwest Fox On 6/26/2013 9:52 AM, Ed Leafe wrote: > On Jun 26, 2013, at 6:55 AM, Man-wai Chang <[email protected]> wrote: > >> I think the days of conducting a small conference in the physical >> world should be replaced by something like a video conference over >> internet... :) > > Except that at nearly every conference I've been to, the overwhelming benefit to me has been in the interaction with people in the hallways, at meals, and at the bar. Sure, the technical learning is valuable, too, but it's the conversations with people about that technology that gives me new ideas on how to use it. Also, I've never gotten a job offer from someone who was connected to the same internet video feed... That of course is very true, but I am wondering if conferences across the board aren't all much smaller/less-attended than they used to be, given this interweb thingie and remoting capabilities today. -- Mike Babcock, MCP MB Software Solutions, LLC President, Chief Software Architect http://mbsoftwaresolutions.com http://fabmate.com http://twitter.com/mbabcock16 [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
