You could try in the Init():

Local llRet

    llRet = DoDefault()
    
    if llRet
        This.MyProperty = myvalue;
    endif

return llRet


... or use form classes rather than forms. Once you're dealing with an
object, it's easy:

MyForm = CreateObject("MyFormClass")
MyForm.MyProperty = myvalue;
MyForm.Show()
