Nothing to stop you creating a virtual machine running XP SP3 using MS
Virtual PC or VirtualBox, and running it in that though.
I'm glad you made that suggestion - since I was going to point out
something like that...
* Buying a copy of FoxPro 1.x and (somehow) reindexing the tables (I
simply
wouldn't have a clue how to do this: willing to try, but not a very
cost-effective option.)
FoxPro for DOS 2.6 or FoxPro for Windows 2.6 would also work.
I know you can save out files from VFP to an older FPD 2.6 format. But,
yeah - wasn't sure about the Index file creation - and if you could do
the Same with that and create it in an older format.
And I need hardly say that any advice would be very gratefully received.
I think your best bet is to put it out to tender - see which old-time
Fox people could take a zip of the entire program folder off you and try
to get it running.
Further advice would be take backups. But you've probably realised that
already. :)
Recently as I was going thru my belongings - as I did a Move - I came
across some really old FP disks - possibly it FP for DOS. I might be
able to lay my hands on it - and might be able to help out...
