I was speaking with a recruiter and he used the same term. I said I know several LAMP professionals and he said, "That's not exactly who I am looking for." Now I know what he was looking for, Legacy Application Modernization Program.

I have a customer that is a major corp that I've been with for over 20 years. They are doing the same thing. The front end of this program is so complex and my application does it so well that they are hiring me to build a front end "black box" that feeds the application they are LAMPing. Cool.
