I need to fix a dbf that has some missing records. The system has a good audit trail so I can find the missing data. The problem is that I want to use the same autoinc fields in the database The only way I can think is to issue alter table <tablename> alter <fieldname> I AUTOINC <myvalue> first then run the insert sql. Is there a better way to do this?
