I suspect the very reason MS discontinued VFP for it is way too good a
product to discard for any other reason.

What? You actually expect to buy software and then have it continue to work
properly for you without continuing to pay for it over and over again?

Wake up, man! This is 2013. Software isn't a product, it's a service.
