Oooh. I'm jealous. I'm making do still with my MacBook from 2009 with 4GB (upgraded by me aftermarket from the 2GB it came with) and would love an SSD. > I'm as much of a Mac > neophyte as you can get and am looking for advice on what > apps/accessories to consider. In general, consider apps and devices only after there's an actual need. I've only downloaded a handful of apps for this Mac over the years, and none are 'essential'. I have no external devices. It's a laptop, which means it should be every bit as useful everywhere I go, from the commuter train to any room in my or anyone else's house or business. > In particular: > > 1. I would think any monitor would work fine, just up to you how much to spend. > Any other "gotta have" apps, utilities, or hardware accessories you > would recommend? Seriously, the only thing I plug into this puppy sometimes is my noise-canceling headphones. Because sometimes people are very loud on the commuter train, and if my boss expects me to actually get work done in our "open office space", it's my only hope. Paul PS I'm answering this having not read any other responses, so apologies if I seem repetitive! _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
