Sincere apologies, Mike. I didn't intentionally ignore you. Found your
message just now and realised it hadn't been answered.
Clearly we were looking at it from opposite directions. That's okay.
I think my view of the FILE function was that the convention would be to
name them according to the function performed by the FILE. On the other
hand, you're suggesting name them according to the current process, ie.
the operation of the program.
I'm happy to stick with my view of the world... but I won't fight you
over it. :-)
