I have two of them and you can set up a NAS to NAS background copy
autosync for both Nas's if you want.

Synology Nas boxes are excellent but pricey BUT they do the DNLA
multi-media stuff better than the Readnyas as they have much more on
board processing to render video output etc.

As for Drobo, I have two Drobo boxes.... great when the work, but they
fail regularly and are SLOW. You can have them free if you want. I
certainly wouldn't trust them.
