The for command is pretty powerful, I only know half of the syntax.
However, I don't think the current implementation has been around
for 30 years!
So it has been improved over 30 years. This is a surprise or a
reason to denigrate it?
I have used it for preparing a backup of an iteration that has
to include some subdirectories.
