We have many clients running on the web. Some clients have multiple locations and multiple workstations in each location. We use RDP to access a client server with Win2003 (my preference - but 2010, 2012, etc work fine if you can use the interface). This makes it easy. No changes at all to your desktop application (We are using VFP9 SP2). I have even tried it on an ipad at the apple store. I logged on the internet while using a hotspot on my phone. Everything works perfectly and the performance is very good. We don't recommend a tablet computer if this is a bookkeeping application - possibly one with a keyboard would be ok, but I have not tried it.

We have used 2 hosting companies for more than 3 years with minimal issues: in

AccuWebHosting and InfinitelyVirtual. I am sure there are many others. These 2 are reasonably priced. For a single user system AccuWebHosting is good with 40gb and 1gb memory. InfinitelyVirtual has reasonable prices for 30gb and 4 or more users. You need 1gb memory and maybe 500mb per users for #2+

Good afternoon,

Have been working with Fox now for close to 20 years... Client has
expressed an interest on running portions of their desktop application on
the web. I have 0 experience with web stuff,..

Can anyone make some recommendations on a quick and dirty way to learn the
basics...

Have started playing with Fox-In-The-Cloud. Looks promising However
lacking internet basics I am having a heck of time just getting the demo's
to run etc.

Would someone please comment on my use of Fox-In-The-Cloud, recommend
alternative means to accomplishing this task...

Any input or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated...

Regards,
Desmond
