Remote (1000 miles away) client with Win8 file server, Win 7 workstations "all the same" has VFP7 app with many users, but one experiencing marked slowdowns after a few hours of work. Her tasks are different (invoicing) and software we've recently updated. Rolling back to previous version doesn't change problem. Validating DBCs and packing appeared to resolve problems for a few hours but it comes back. Shutdown and restart workstation and server didn't change symptoms.
There was the infamous VFP 7 index bloat issue. If she's using different tables and indexes than the others, something in her environment and something that she does that others don't do might have caused her indexes to go insane. Packing and validating being a factor might point in that direction. Truly a WAG.
