The latest version of West Wind Web Connection (5.70) has some REST based
services.

Also check out http://www.psgsdk.com and see if that could help you...

Thanks, Bill

I'd like to implement this using VFP as the client and Watson as the server,
without requiring another 3rd party to deal with, if possible. An exception
might be to get such a service from the hosting service I'm already setup
with (InMotion and Linux). Earlier I chatted with their support, to see if
they have any support for REST and while they say they are aware of it, they
don't have any supporting services. They will look into it, though.

I did find an informative article on Rest servers
http://aimotion.blogspot.com/2011/05/introducing-architecture-rest-creating.
html

which says " REST uses the set of methods defined in the HTTP protocol,
which the most known are POST and GET.", so clearly it's inet server
platform centric, but it may not have to be that way. Question is can the
needed behavior be mimicked in VFP (in its simplest form: one question out
-> one answer in?)

Again, the goal would be to use VFP as the client and Watson as the server.
Sounds simple enough!

Bill
