I installed classic shell on Win7 and Win8 because I like the XP
experience better than either of them. For Win8, I activate the 'real'
admin account and get rid of the bing crap and as much of the 'security'
crap as possible. If you eliminate enough of that garbage (UAC, etc) the
OS is almost usable.

That's exactly why I started this thread. That Windows 8 UI is
HORRIBLE. That flat look looks like sh!t.
