Peter,
Files are all there but I can't even run them by autoloading VFP i.e. click on 
app as VFP loads but gives the same error. Also true when running with admin 
rights.

Have you checked tools/options/file locations for the .app files and made sure 
they are there?
The only other thing I could think of was access rights.  Just checked and 
havn't got specific rights to c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual foxpro 9\ 
but the .app files are there and work ok.
