So, first, make a full backup of what you have now, not overwriting
any previous backups :)

Make sure you are all patched up-to-date.

I would suspect last week's MS Patch Tuesday might have caused a
problem. Check to see if you could restore to a point before then.

Amusingly, I wrote the paragraphs above as #3, #2, #1. They probably
work better in this order.

So, backup, patch up, test, restore point, test, restore from backup
at the worst leaves you where you are now, no worse off than before.

Searching for "AcLayers is hooked in and ISRegSpy wont work." points
to some old 64-bit Vista and patch problems, so this might be a
repeat. If you have another development workstation, preferably 32-bit
and more mature Windows (like 7), can you test your packaging there?
