We do have customers who use still matrix for multi-part stationery printouts. It works great when it works but to get fast DM printing on paper of non-standard size so that it runs onto multiple pages without drifting is a total pain in the ass on operating systems whose whole paradigm is based around full page composition. So we nudge them towards laser as much as possible.
Different use cases. I use 9 1/2" x 11" fanfold with only extremely rare exceptions. For listings, this is great.
I use my sheetfeed printer, too, but for listings, dox-matrix is the way to go for me.

Well, this "new-and-improved" system has screwed up my workflow, and I somehow had very little trouble with the old system. Upward combatibility strikes again.
