No, because the new usage is actually quite a bit easier. Imagine having to go to low beams and brake at the same time. With the foot switch, it would be more awkward.
Your use case is also not a good analog. In some cases, I have lost functionality due to Windows 7. That is not the case with the high-beam switch.
Mr. Russell, why do you continue to use VFP? Possibly because it does what you want? That is why I have/had my ways of doing things that Windows 7 is making impossible or awkward.
