Is "compfiles" a utility built into VFP? Or is it part of this Merge utility
you speak of??

I've done enough automation stuff over the years that I like being able to type:

DO compfiles WITH <file1>,<file1>

In the VFP command window. :-)

I also think Merge is an excellent comparison tool and like recommending the
product.

So far - I have not seen any references to COM - only DLL and some DDE kinda
stuff.

I'm hoping I can simply run like a Batch file - that calls CodeWright and give
it parameters of files for it to compare - and then it just does it. I did
create a batch file to run CodeWright, and I put a file name as a parameter -
and it did indeed run CodeWright and open that single file.

At this point - I'm still kind of experimenting with it - and looking around in
the help files.
