Hi all I am having a serious problem with a neighbour's cat(s) using a particular part of my front garden as it's toilet. So far as I know there are laws which apply to dogs (fouling/nuisance laws) which do not apply to cats. My neighbour is of the opinion that nothing can be done about it because cats cannot be trained in the way that dogs can (or should be).
I was wondering if it would be possible to set up a web camera that would only take "snapshots" say every five seconds once it has detected motion within its field-of-view. That way I would not need to go through thousands of frames on order to find the frames of interest. This particular part of the garden is pretty "motionless" (unlike the cat) most of the time. If I could "motion-picture" (pun intended) evidence of what is happening I *might* get something done about it. Otherwise I am thinking of contacting the RSPCA and pointing out that unless I can get it stopped I am likely to try whatever means I can myself (including strangling the bloody animal if only I can get hold of it).
