It's a matter of direction - which way to go from where we are.

Not sure what you mean by that

You're on a line of thinking here that isn't coming across.

There is a threshold when a crime is so big that people think it can't
possibly be a crime. Such was the invasion of the ME.

Listen to what people with different points of view have to say, and
then think for yourself.

There are some issues, such as nuclear disarmament, that cannot be
handled any other way.

Look at what's happening with the other approach, where some countries
say they can have them and others can't. The status quo is that the
countries without, threatened by those with, have accelerated their
weapons programs. Anyone call that progress?

In all cases, government is a necessary fact of life. We form
governments at specific levels to perform specific functions at that
level. That they take lives of their own with 'mission creep' is our
failing, but we can't throw the baby out with the bathwater; we just
need to be more vigilant. This is the job of charters and checks and
balances.

It depends on your intent and attitude. The ME invasion was a scam. It
was really about seizing authority, not to help anyone other then the
protagonists. Had the mission really been to help the people of the
region, the approach would have been completely different.
