You make my db cry when you call it dumb storage.  It says it is so much
more with analytics involved that makes cubes for end user reporting real
easy.  Or dashboards for a variety of data needs across all aspects of our
business.

It also mentions the ability to cross reference data from other systems we
have in house who all have different instances on the same DB server.

My databse also said that living in a third normal form environment is
faster than you think.
