All kidding aside. I know there is this whole argument about keep business rules away from the Database - even though, in many cases - people implement them within Stored Procedures. Which means the rules get tied to the data. But, I know this is a Very Intense argument that a lot of folks argue over. So - sorry if I am just adding to the flame war about Data vs. Program code...

If you want a good site that tries to get to the 'science' of databases instead of the latest vendor craze, or the fanboys cheers, I suggest www.dbdebunk.com.
Be warned, articles on the site will make you think, but if you take the time to study, analyze, and research the things from that site, you'll be all the richer for it. And then you'll be able to detect and ignore the vast amount of nonsense that is flying around in the database world today.
